The woman in this photo is Kathrine Switzer. The first woman who ran a marathon, however without being permitted. She was called an outlaw that time, but yet she persisted and did what she wished for.
After realizing a woman was running Boston marathon organizer Jock Sem said “Get the hell out of my race and give me those numbers!” .
